Illinois Farm Bureau® Annual Meeting

AITC reaps the benefits of fundraising success
thanks to your help!

The IAA Foundation is pleased to announce a great start to the new fundraising year! County Farm Bureau managers, presidents, boards and members are the reason our fundraising at the Illinois Farm Bureau Annual Meeting was a success.  We appreciate the generous support received and Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom will benefit from the spirit of giving that was prevalent throughout our three days of fundraising!  THANK YOU for supporting our efforts!  Be sure to check out all our photos on Facebook.

Fundraising efforts are on track to raise more than $43,000.
Ice Cream Social

Live Auction & Ice Cream Social -   $22,000

It was a record year for the Live Auction where each item brought in bids well above value…a true testament to the generosity of our members and the importance of the cause we are supporting!

The Red vs Green Challenge proved successful again this year:  The Red tractor went for $775 and the Green tractor went for $700.  Red wins 2 years in a row!!  (but we know the real winner is Ag in the Classroom)

Silent Auction: $10,100

The Silent Auction continues to be a hub of activity with 100 items up for bid this year.  Our County Farm Bureau’s and their members donate so many unique, valuable and hand crafted items….it really is a lot of fun to look around and watch the bidding!  Roger Christin & Winnebago Boone County may win the prize two years in a row…his Seiko clock valued at $110 sold for $350… that’s a 218% return!

Trivia Night: $9,000

Trivia Night was busting at the seams with excitement and team spirit this year. 32 teams participated, Lake County Farm Bureau Manager, Greg Koeppen emceed, and committee co-chairman Rob Sharkey & Jeff Kirwan got the festivities going…helping the Foundation rake in a much needed funds for IAITC
