2010 IAITC Golf Outing
The Fourteenth Annual IAITC Golf Outing was held on August 5,
2010 at the Wolf Creek Golf Club and the Elks Country Club in Pontiac, IL. With
200 golfers on the courses, beautiful weather as well as warm fellowship
contributed to the fun and success of yet another Illinois Agriculture in the
Classroom Fundraiser. The outing continues to be the largest, and by all
accounts most popular golf outing benefiting agriculture in the state of
Illinois.
The proceeds benefit Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom.
The funds help support teacher trainings, resource development as well as direct
county support through grant programs.
IAITC promotes Ag Literacy by training teachers and providing
the tools and resources to incorporate agriculture related content into
traditional school lessons, helping teach our future consumers and decision
makers about the source of their food, fiber and fuel and the impact agriculture
has on our daily lives. The IAITC program is making great strides towards
achieving this goal, but needs continued financial support to keep the program
thriving and able to teach new students each year.
Thank you to all that participated in this event for a much
needed program that is valued by teachers across the state. Please join
us again next year!
