IAA Foundation Scholarship

In an effort to fulfill our mission to support Illinois farm families and the future of agriculture through education, The IAA Foundation is pleased to present the 2018 scholarship recipients.

Sixty nine students were selected to receive scholarships based on their academic achievement, participation and leadership in school and community organizations, and financial need. A total of $123,600 will be distributed to assist with tuition costs for the 2018-2019 school year. The Foundation received a record 370 applications this year, representing 86 counties from across the state of Illinois.

Kendra FloodCongratulations to Illinois Farm Bureau Legacy of Leadership Scholar: Kendra Flood

Entering her junior year at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, Illinois, Kendra is studying Agricultural Education. From Montrose, she is the daughter of Randy & April Flood. Kendra is a member of the Cumberland County Farm Bureau. Kendra was selected for this distinguished honor for her leadership qualities and well-rounded academic experience. For her accomplishments, Kendra will receive a $7,500 scholarship.



Connor KlingeleCongratulations to IAA Foundation Top Scholar:  Connor Klingele

In the Graduate Program at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, Connor is studying Agricultural Business.  From Liberty, he is the son of Steve & Joyce Klingele.  Connor is a member of the Adams County Farm Bureau.  Connor was selected for this top honor out of 370 applicants, and for his accomplishments, will receive a $5,000 scholarship.  We think it’s a great investment in the future of agriculture!


Kassidy KimplingCongratulations to IAA Foundation Top Scholar:  Kassidy Kimpling

Entering her senior year at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Kassidy is studying Agricultural Leadership Education.  From Streator, she is the daughter of Kyle & Lynn Kimpling. Kassidy is a member of the Livingston County Farm Bureau.  Kassidy was selected for this top honor out of 370 applicants, and for her accomplishments, will receive a $5,000 scholarship.  We think it’s a great investment in the future of agriculture!


Seth MitchellCongratulations to IAA Foundation Top Scholar:  Seth Mitchell

Entering his Freshman year at Lake Land College, Seth is studying Agricultural and Biological Engineering.  From Olney, he is the son of Aaron & Debbie Mitchell, who are members of the Richland County Farm Bureau.  Seth was selected for this top honor out 370 applicants, and for his accomplishments, will receive a $5,000 scholarship.  We think it’s a great investment in the future of agriculture!
